One of the items was missing from my online order, so I got in touch to ask for a refund. The chat reply was polite, but it didn’t really feel like there was a real person there, and I ended up having to explain the same thing more than once.
They said the refund would show by a certain time, but it didn’t, so I had to chase it up again. I did get the money back in the end, but it felt like a lot of hassle for just a few quid.

"payment was easy enough"
paid for my groceries on Sainsbury’s and it all went through without any hassle. the card check came up, but it only took a minute or so. got the confirmation email quickly too. the only thing was the page took a bit longer to load after I paid, so I wasn’t totally sure it had worked at first. overall, good experience.

Using the website was a bit frustrating. Pages were loading slowly, the search kept showing me weird results, and checkout was jumping around all over the place on my phone. I did manage to get my order placed in the end, but come on now, it really shouldn’t be that annoying

A few of the items I ordered were swapped out, some of the substitutions weren’t great. It’s not even about getting a different brand or something slightly different, I get that happens, but a couple of the swaps just didn’t really make sense for what I needed.

"Driver was alright , but could be friendlier"
My delivery arrived within the right time slot , so no complaints there . The driver was polite enough , but he seemed a bit unhappy and I felt slightly rushed while I was checking the bags . He wasn’t rude or anything , just not especially friendly . The food was fine and everything was there , but the driver side of things could definitely be a little more professional

"Really pleased with Sainsbury’s own-brand range"
I’ve been picking up more Sainsbury’s own-brand stuff lately and, most of it’s been solid. Pasta, yoghurts, frozen veg, cleaning bits, all decent, not cheap-feeling.
The Taste the Difference items are great too, especially on offer. Saves money without feeling like a downgrade, and delivery from Sainsbury’s has been fine. No complaints.

I used sainsburys.co.uk for my weekly shop and, honestly... the checkout was straightforward. The basket was easy to check, delivery slots came up without any fuss, and my payment went through first time.
I didn’t have to keep clicking around or re-entering details, which is usually the bit that annoys me. It was simple, quick, and I had the whole thing sorted in a few minutes.

They’ve got a decent range and most things are usually in stock, but I do find a few bits missing more often than you’d expect. It’s handy overall, just feels like someone isn’t always keeping an eye on the shelves

I’ve had a good experience with the fruit and veg so far. Most of it has been fresh and nice, though I did get one pack of tomatoes that was a bit soft. Still, overall it’s been good — there’s something about it that feels reliable enough to keep ordering

"Packaging really needs more care"
My order arrived in rough shape, with a few bags ripped and some items squashed. One of the yogurts had leaked over other things, and the bread was basically flattened. To be fair, most of the actual groceries were there and it wasn’t a huge shop, but that almost makes it more frustrating because it should’ve been easier to pack properly. I do like Sainsbury’s generally, but this has happened a few times now, so they really need to take more care with how orders are packed.

The staff were really helpful when I was wandering around trying to find a few bits... you know when you’re sure it should be somewhere and it just isn’t. Someone pointed me in the right direction, which made it much easier. Checkout was a little slow, but not a big deal really. All good overall.

My Sainsbury’s delivery showed up about 25 minutes after the time slot, which wasn’t the end of the world, but it was still a bit frustrating since I’d been waiting around for it. The driver was polite and everything I ordered was there, so no real complaints on that side. I just felt a bit like a ticket number in the system, with no proper update or sense of what was happening. Overall it was okay, but the timing could definitely be better

"Plenty of delivery slots when I really needed one"
I’ve been using sainsburys.co.uk for my weekly shop, and the delivery slots have been surprisingly good lately. I’m a bit cautious about leaving things to the last minute, so it’s reassuring that I can usually get something for the next day or the day after, even in the evening after work.
I had to tweak my order once and was half-expecting to lose the slot, but it stayed put and there was no fuss. It just makes the whole food shop feel a lot less stressful than trying to squeeze in a supermarket trip when I’m tired. Definitely 5 stars from me.

I can’t manage my account properly because it keeps locking me out for no clear reason. Then when I try to reset my password, it just doesn’t work. I’ve contacted support, but they mostly send me around in circles, which gets frustrating after a while.

"Good offers, but they can be a bit confusing"
I usually end up on sainsburys.co.uk when there are deals going, because everyone loves a decent offer, and the Nectar prices can be good sometimes.
The only annoying thing is that promos don’t always seem to behave properly. A couple of times the discount didn’t show how I expected at checkout, or something suddenly turned out to be out of stock after I’d ordered, which is the kind of thing that always seems to happen with online grocery shopping.
I still use it and it’s generally fine, but I do think the offers could be clearer. Most people just want to know what they’re actually saving without having to double-check everything
